Bill Clinton vs. Chris Wallace

I busied myself with a few different things over the weekend and didn't do a good job of keeping up with the news. So I totally missed the discussion and details on the Clinton/Wallace battle on Fox. Fortunately, Think Progress has a nitty gritty video clip that features a lot of the sparring. Te see it, press here.

I haven't seen this side of Bill in quite a while. But he sure asked some very good questions himself and made some good observations. Also, it's just plain refreshing to hear someone admit his mistakes and express his regrets. I wish that our present administration operated under such honest and realistic terms when it comes to this "war on terror."

I just find it refreshing to see a leader take on confrontational questions and answer them in an articulate, yet passionate, manner. Will our current president ever talk to a real journalist when his days in the White House are over?

Good question Rocky.

On The Today Show this morning they were saying that Clinton's "fight back" was an inspiration of many Democrats - maybe even a Battle Cry.

You know Eddie, I've always been the "go along to get along" type of guy, especially when it comes to the benefit of the overall good. But I think we've seen too much of that from Democrats in Washington. So perhaps the former president (who I am sometimes critical of) has provided a little spark.

For what it is worth, a number of folks have posted the Clinton/Chris Wallace "interview" in its entirety on YouTube (in some cases, folks break the interview down into parts- I think there may be a limit with how long any one video can be on this site.) In any case, Clinton was absolutely brilliant- and Chris Wallace comes off as a complete a**hole. This should be mandatory viewing for every single liberal/Democratic candidate- lock them all up in a room, and make 'em watch the master. Actually, I have little doubt that Clinton knew what this was going to turn into- and used this as a great opportunity to put this moron in his place- and create a much needed rallying cry for the Democrats. And I sincerely hope this works- I am so sick to death of folks getting intimidated by the likes of the Fox News vultures.
